Lexus LFA - 1/24 Tamiya (Complete)

Finally got the pictures taken! Using a DSLR camera to taken photos is a lot more difficult than I thought, but the results paid off:

Back to the Future Delorean - 1/24 Aoshima (1)

Back from a month's holiday in Hong Kong! 3 months since my last entry, actually in between the time I have started another 2 kits, and completed one. The Lexus LFA has long been finished, I just need to find the time to photographed it. (I've upgraded to a different camera so it takes time to get used to)

Anyway, after the LFA, I wanted to build sth sci-fi, but as I still want to stick with cars, I pulled these 2 from my pile:

The 1/24 Delorean from Back to the Future, Part 1 and 2, by Aoshima.

Both kits are basically the same, (which i didn't know at the time of buying, coz the box art looked so different!) So I deceided the Part 1 Deloream will be in "car" mode, and the Part 2 one in the "Flying" mode.

First thing to work on is the chassis, there is a huge step in the front:

So I filed the sides:

Much better than before! 

Leveling the front was easy, painting was the nard part, masking it was hard work, and I have to do it twice! 

Last thing is to cover the slot at the bottom, it was orginally a mechanism to shift the wheels from car mode to flying mode, but I don't need it anymore...

So that took about a month (way back in February), but then Gundam Build Fighter same........and I was itching to build a Gundam model..........so...........the Delorean was kind of put on hold......
